| Abstract: | Apart from introducing the book on Critical Perspectives on the European Mediasphere, this chapter also provides a consive history European media and communication doctoral summer school. Moreover, the chapter also discusses the Summer School's pedagogical principles, of which the student-orientedness is the most important one. The Summer School provides support to PhD students through structured, highquality and multi-voiced feedback on the work of each individual PhD student, combined with numerous opportunities for informal dialogues. The Summer School also combines a constructive-supportive nature with a critical perspective, expresses the utmost respect for academic diversity and aims to stimulate connectedness. | ||
